Introduction to Balancing Equations Chemistry

This worksheet introduces students to balancing equations and the two methods for balancing equations. Both methods (drawing molecules and counting atoms) are explained in detail on the first page of the worksheet. On the second page there are 5 easy practice equations with enough room for students to show their work utilizing both methods (a table to count atoms and space to draw the molecules).

Students should be able to draw ball and stick models of molecules and count the number of each type of atom in a formula. Answer key is included!
